HEY, Sister Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Illinois nonprofit organization for women, youth, and the senior community. Our mission is to elevate women, inspire youth, and revitalize and sustain seniors through transformative programs and inclusive community engagement.
We strive to provide affordable housing, a supportive environment, and innovative solutions where they can thrive and live fulfilling lives. With a focus on physical, mental, and holistic well-being, we are dedicated to fostering a stronger, more inclusive society that values the contributions of African-American women, youth, and seniors alike.

Our mission is born out of a fervent desire to elevate and empower. Our strength comes from the dynamic, innovative women within our ranks who are tenaciously devoted to addressing and crafting resilient solutions to pressing concerns in health, mental well-being, financial literacy, and social engagement.

ABOUT
HEY, Sister Inc. was founded in 2017 by Regena Hammock after being diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer. Being a woman, a black woman in America, she has observed and experienced both disparities and inequalities in various life encounters. A God-given vision created in her a heartfelt desire to devote to the dire need for the social welfare of African-American women, children, and seniors.
We know that our strength not only lies in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.
HEY, Sister realizes that by women working together, we can overcome our challenges much more effectively. The launch of HEY, Sister gives us a platform to advance change.
