Helping Elevate You, Sister Inc.

HEY, Sister Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Illinois nonprofit organization for women, youth, and the senior community.  Our mission is to elevate women, inspire youth, and revitalize and sustain seniors through transformative programs and inclusive community engagement. We strive to create a supportive environment where individuals of all ages can thrive, discover their potential, and make a positive impact in the world. With a focus on personal growth, social connection, and holistic well-being, we are dedicated to fostering a stronger, more inclusive society that values the contributions of women, youth, and seniors alike. Together, we can build a brighter future for generations to come. We thrive by enhancing and promoting mental and physical well-being of all.

We serve as a beacon of hope and empowerment, unwavering in our commitment to uplift in the South Suburban Chicagoland area. We're not just an organization; we are a passionate collective striving to champion for every individual within our community's folds.

Our mission is born out of a fervent desire to elevate and empower. Our strength comes from the dynamic, innovative women within our ranks who are tenaciously devoted to addressing and crafting resilient solutions to pressing concerns in health, mental well-being, financial literacy, and social engagement.

Our ultimate goal? To ignite change and drive sustainable growth within our community, fostering a transformative impact that will echo across generations. We believe in the power of unity, in the strength of diversity, and in the limitless potential that can be unlocked when we come together for a common cause. This is our passion. This is HEY, Sister.

Collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy, outreach, and social activities, we enthusiastically create avenues to contribute to the greater good.

ABOUT

HEY, Sister Inc. was founded in 2017 by Regena Hammock after being diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer.  Being a woman, a black woman in America, she has observed and experienced both disparities and inequalities in various life encounters. A God-given vision created in her a heartfelt desire to devote to the dire need for the social welfare of women and principally  women of color.
We know that our strength not only lies in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.
HEY, Sister Inc. realizes that by working together, we can overcome our challenges much more effectively. The launch of HEY, Sister Inc. gives us a platform to advance change.
